I'm so grateful for Dr. Cox! My senior dog becomes extremely (one might argue performatively!) despondent the second she crosses the threshold of any vet's office, and Dr. Cox is always so caring, gentle, and patient with her. Dr. Cox and her staff have also been incredibly kind and helpful in their interactions with me, as well as quick to provide advice over the phone or email. My dog and I have lived in four large cities together. This is the first vet we've ever had that offers regular walk-in hours, and it is AWESOME. We could not get an appointment with our first Pittsburgh vet without waiting several weeks, even when my dog had an open wound. Obviously the walk-in appointment fee is a bit higher, but it is so worth the extra cost to be able to come in without an appointment when yo

Dr Cox is a lifesaver.She saw my chinchilla who had developed an addiction to eating shirts fabric etc.Then he stopped eating developed stasis & we needed an emergency exotic animal veterinarian. I was very happy to find that Dr Cox has a convenient north side location and also takes walk ins. Having been turned away everywhere I had called for my sick chin she was more than happy to see him & give him the treatment & medicines to help his poor stomach. It took awhile but my chinna is back to normal & not eating anything strange that may kill him anymore. If you need a chinchilla vet look no further Dr Cox likes seeing chinchillas unlike a lot of other vets I had tried calling. This place was great! Perfectly uneventful. Easy to find, easy parking, open space inside, and both vets I met with were fantastic. We were a new patient appointment and reviewed all issues and meds and got the refills sorted out. Bonus that they are personally familiar with the cardiologist dept at blue pearl, where my dog also goes. Friendly suggestion to avoid the west end bridge rush hour traffic.

Dr Cox and the technicians at North Side Animal Hospital have been nothing but caring, helpful, and supportive with our pets! The amazing staff are equipped to handle a wide variety of animals and are knowledgeable in all aspects of care. From caring for our sick ferrets, to helping us make the decision of euthanasia, we felt so supported and safe. Very affordable care as well. Thank you Dr Cox for making our pets feel special!

We've been bringing our Malinois/shepherd mix to Dr. Cox for 3 years now since we've rescued her and we couldn't be happier with the level of care she provides. Our girl loves her, is comfortable with her, and she is very attentive, caring and informative about any of our concerns.
