Ivy is our now 7mo field springer. She's healthy, loving,nightly trainable and extraordinarily athletic. She approaches all people and all dogs with a smile and clear signs that she wants to make friends, which, living in a city is extremely important. This is not to say she's submissive. Her approach is a testament to her confidence and, as a friend said of her, her "relentless curiosity." She takes after her father, Grizzly Bear, in coloring and coat. Rather than the typically soft hair of a bench springer, her coat is soft, but a bit "waxy" which is a huge plus - she dries in no time and sheds dirt like no dog I've ever seen. We never need to brush her, and it absolutely never gets matted. I'm not a hunter, but am an avid outdoorsman. Judging by her confidence and her reaction to firew
