We just purchased our 2nd puppy from Northern Plains. Duke is 9 yr. old. He has been an EXCELLENT dog both at home and in the field for ducks, pheasants, chucker's and quail. Has a great demeanor and continues to be in great shape. Scout is 10 weeks old and is showing signs of the same type of demeanor and the two are getting along just fine. We love the fact that the breeders due the training. The kennels and training areas are immaculate and you can tell Julie and Wade put there all into these dogs. With both there years of experience they are always available to answer any questions. They came highly recommended to us and we have passed that recommendation on to others that have purchased puppies and/or had them train there dogs. We are super happy!!
Our dog Coot was the easiest dog we've ever trained. His bred intellect is apparent in every choice he makes. He is amazingly athletic and eager to please. I look forward to the time when we will get another dog, and it WILL be from Northern Plains Retrievers. Their breeding quality is obvious in the quality of our boy.
We just recently got a pup from Northern Plains Retrievers (NPR) and he’s already showing great hunting ability! He is Incredibly smart and has caught on so quickly! NPR definitely has a lot of dedication to their dogs and the work they do! I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a new hunting partner!

Great job! Everything you'll ever want from a trainer is poured into each dog/pup. Wade set the expectations for both owner/dog. He openly communicated the process and progress throughout the 3 months of training. And we couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. Our Labs are disciplined and great flushers/retrievers.
