1 star is too much for such a terrible place We brought our dog in because she wasn’t acting like herself. Blood work was taken, and we were told her potassium levels were off the charts high, which we were informed could be fatal. The vet suggested it could be Addison’s disease and ran a cortisol test, which came back normal. We were then told another test would be needed the following morning to definitively rule out Addison’s. Our concern was that if her potassium was truly that high, she might not make it through the night. After discussing this with my fiancé and the vet (who did not disagree), we decided to drive 2.5 hours to Cornell Animal Hospital for emergency care. AND not to mention they did not add the negative AIDS and feline lukemia test to my cats chart, so I chose to get it redone at my new vet to be safe.

We had to put our best friend down. 🐾 We called North Winds and they got us in the same day. They didn't require any prior vet records or ask any questions. Everyone was so kind and caring and compassionate. They just visually made sure it was time for her to go and simply asked us why we made the decision. The process was quick and convenient. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this place! I was having an absolute breakdown when calling every single veterinary office in the surrounding area, only to get pushed further and further away.
