North Star Canine Connection

We had a great experience in our Puppy Essentials class at North Star Canine Connection. Liz is a wonderful trainer and resource. She is very observant in the class and always gives you suggestions if your pup isn't responding to a particular task. We came in with a timid 5 month old puppy and left with a little more confidence and AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy. I highly recommend this class to anyone with a new puppy.

Liz Beaulieu is the best dog trainer we have ever worked with, both in a group setting and for one-on-one sessions. As boarding school teachers, we have moved around a bit and have used five different dog trainers over the past 35 years, all of whom were good, but Liz stands out as particularly excellent. The “positive reinforcement only”methods that she teaches are exactly the kind of thing we were looking for to train our latest beagle puppy. Her ability to work with puppies and dogs in a way that captures and reinforces positive behaviors while interacting in a relaxed and natural way makes training fun and enjoyable for dog and owner alike, and it is stunningly effective. Liz is hands down the best trainer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is a wealth of knowledge, nonjudgemental, incredibly patient and highly effective at what she does. Otis has been attending both private and group classes since he was a puppy and he's always excited to "Go see Liz!". No matter the issue, Liz has a recommendation of something to try (and often a detailed worksheet with step by step instructions and additional resources to help).

Liz and North Star Canine Connection created a great environment for all the puppies and owners in our class to interact and learn. Liz is patient and knowledgeable, and we’re already excited for our next class!

I recently took the adult dog tuneup class with Liz and really enjoyed it. One of the things I appreciated most was how well organized everything was. Every dog had their own area to work in, visual barriers were available if needed for overstimulated dogs (like mine), and Liz even provided a box of tools to use throughout the class (a kong and easy cheese, a tug toy, a tennis ball, long lead, etc.). She really thought of it all. Partway through the course my dog went into heat and couldn’t continue, but Liz kindly let me finish out the last classes with one of my other dogs. I highly recommend her and will definitely be utilizing her services again!
