North Myrtle Beach Animal Shelter

We had a dog that accidentally mated and we wanted to spay ASAP to prevent a pregnancy. This was complicated by the fact it happen on the weekend. I emailed not expecting a reply until Monday but they responded within a few hours and got her scheduled for that Tuesday. Everyone we dealt with during this was super nice and compassionate. They went as far as giving her a calming back massage after the surgery! You can tell they actually have a heart for what they do!

I went in to ask about volunteering and the last that greeted me was quite rude! Told me to go online and fill out the application there. I then asked to see the dogs and was rudely informed that they do not allow the general public to tour the kennels. I definitely won't be volunteering at this shelter, good thing it's not the only one in the area. my thoughts were" then how the heck do they adopt their animals out?
