Had an emergency with my windshield completely obscured by frozen snow and ice which flew onto my windshield, jamming my wipers. For the safety of myself and others, I pulled into what turned out to be this pet hospital. I made sure I was in a safe spot, jumped out of my car and removed the massive amount of snow and ice -- got the windshield wipers working again. I went back inside my car and was ready to return to the road when -- as others have indicated on here - an apparent employee of the pet hospital approached my car out of nowhere. I literally thought she was coming to see me out of concern for what happened. When I rolled down my window and greeted her, shockingly, she chose to berate me for stopping in the parking lot. Dr. Pat is simply THE best! She’s helped us recently with our Holland lop bunny, Hershey, and our Pekin duck, Lilly. Dr. Pat is obviously super smart and always gives us everything we need (and nothing we don’t). We’re so fortunate to have Dr. Pat so close to home. Avian veterinarians are not easy to come by and we found the best! I love that Dr. Pat can operate her entire business herself; she does it her way and it works!

Great experience! Very few vets will treat chickens, but Dr. Slanga saw mine on an emergency basis, examined and diagnosed her with egg yoke peritonitis, drained fluid from her abdomen, and prescribed medication. Throughout she was friendly and knowledgeable with me and caring and gentle with Ophelia. I was expecting a whopper of a bill for all this, but it was one of the most reasonable I have had from a vet in a long time (I have many animals and lots of vet bills). If I lived closer, I would gladly have her see more than just my chickens. Highly recommend!

I took a sick chicken in for an office visit with Dr. Pat and would highly recommend her. She was kind, her prices are fair, she spent a lot of time explaining things, breaking down the treatment options, and gave me a list of prices so I could make a fair decision. I will not hesitate to take any of my flock to her again, in fact I may be more apt to take them to her than to "wait and see" with my chickens because her prices are so fair and the quality of care was so high. Our community and local chicken owners are very lucky to have Dr. Pat nearby, and I'm also going to bring my dog to her now too. Highly recommend!

Dr. Pat is who I’ve been going to with my senior cocker spaniel with congestive heart failure, for over a year now. She has a list of health issues a mile long,& even as a veterinary technician for over a decade I can’t bring her where I work; because of how much medical attention she needs. We have done growth removals here that we couldn’t do under anesthesia for,& chronic ear infections, urinary issues,& severe arthritis. We do bloodwork often to check her organ function as well. I was so grateful to find a vet that let me be with her during covid (curbside only) protocols everywhere else in the area.
