Month of November 2025 free kitten adoptions. Also do not forget once your fury friend is yours you have 3 business days to have them looked over by a vet, in the program. Walton animal clinic in Loganville honored it for free. Also their spay/neutered is free from Newton. This helps as an animal can be expensive starting off. We lost our 20 year old and found her twin. As we have 4 rescues, we can't take anymore.

They really came through for me and a kitten who was in desperate need! They even opened their doors early. Super friendly and they genuinely care! They have always came through and go over and beyond!

I am appalled by the lack of care given to animals that are waiting to be euthanized. Buddy, a 6.4 lb. chihuahua was set to be put down in a few days. He was said to be aggressive and no one could get close to him. The girl who tried to take him from the cell couldn't even get a leash on him. I put the leash on him and walked him out the door. He was a little defiant about walking out. Once outside I put a blanket on him and picked him up. He just slumped against me. On the 2 hour drive home he was quiet and subdued, but i help and petted him all the way with not the first growl or attempt to bite. Once home I let him down , opened the door and he ran in a jumped on the chest of a friend as if to say , who are you. I had noticed the place where he had been neutered was almost bleeding an

5/6 cats and 1/2 of my dogs are from Newton County AC. Every single animal is amazing. They are amazing people who truly care about these animals and do as much as they can. But Newton County as a whole is VERY irresponsible and awful when it comes to animals. So many owner surrenders daily, so many pets being dropped off as “strays”, so many people backyard breeding their cats & dogs. These animal control workers can only do so much when the people in this county are failing them & these animals every single day. The shelter is always clean, animal cages are always clean with clean water. They do as much as they possibly can, to the point I know personally the director will take home animals herself. Don’t blame these workers for the lack of care the county gives these animals.

Wonderful experience everyone I came in contact with was genuinely nice and helpful. The shelter was nice and clean. All the animals were clean I wish I could’ve taken them all. But they helped me to adopt my handsome purebred mini Schnauzer Teddi thank you so much. He is a wonderful addition to our family ❤️
