New River Veterinary Emergency Services

We had to bring our 3 year old cat, Travelin' Gypsy, there for respiratory distress and choking. All the staff was amazing! They all stayed calm and were super helpful! They were fast. They gave us information and options and no judgement when we decided to let our cat go. They were amazing during that process too! We were allowed to hold our cat during the process and they allowed us time to grieve holding him. They made us paw prints. They went through the payment process quick and easy in the room so we could leave without stopping. And we knew there were other emergencies happening at the same time as ours but they really made us feel cared for and sympathetic to our situation. I definitely recommend this facility for all small animal emergency needs! I hope one day they extend their

The entire staff are compassionate and sensitive, caring people. They really helped me thru a terrible night when my pet's stomach flipped and I had to put her down. They were so empathetic to what I was going through. Pic is of my sweet girl with her cat buddy about a week before it happened.

I can’t express how much gratitude I had for the office and staff. Dealing with such a hard situation the compassion that was shown towards my family and our beloved copper In our time of need, and not knowing what to do. The guidance was appreciated. They gave us optional amount of time to give our love and say our goodbyes respectfully. I hope not to have an emergency like this again, but if I do I will know where to go!

My puppy ate ibuprofen and started having seizures. I called the animal poison hotline and they wouldn’t speak to me without $110 payment. My bank account was frozen due to fraudulent charges and it was a Sunday. I called another emergency vet in the area they also refused to see him due to the money issue. NRVES told me to bring him in and they assisted me in applying for Cherry to help with expenses. I was able to work it out with them to get him the treatment he needed. They seemed like the only place that cared at all whether my 6 month old puppy lived or died. I’m so grateful for them.

words cannot describe how grateful i am for new river and their staff. i unfortunately had a bad experience with a different clinic that put my kitty in a very critical state. everyone was extremely friendly and compassionate, and never once made me feel scared to ask a thousand questions.
