Ashley and her team do SUCH a great job of taking in unwanted pets, rehabilitating them, and placing them in homes where the new owner is educated and able to take care of them properly. I had recent contact with New Beginnings Animal Rescue when a gal on a public forum had posted a picture and ad, asking for her son's gerbil to be rehomed. When I saw a picture of that gerbil resting on a dirty, plastic shelf of a small, Kaytee tube-type cage, I started to cry. I read the ad and found that the lady's child had lost interest in this pet and no longer wanted it. Because I live far away from this gal, her family, and this gerbil, I contacted Ashley. She reached out to the owner and the end result is that a new family is waiting for this gerbil to "come home" to a big cage, toys, fresh food a
