Nebraska Humane Society

Adopted the most precious cat today. Process was easy, he is microchipped and neutered, with freshly cut nails! I was in and out within an hour, the adoption counselor was so helpful in answering my questions. I will be coming back when the time is right for me to find another animal!🖤 Thank everyone at NHS for making this possible.

I already had the animal picked out that I wanted when I went in and picked it up. It's took an extremely long time to get in and out. They are extremely clean and keep the animals very clean. I noticed a couple animals had upper respiratory infection but they must have come in that way because the kennels are cleaned daily. This was probably the cleanest Humane Society or animal shelter I've ever been to I love that it stays clean so the animals stay as healthy as possible.

Adopted Miso (formerly Green Tea) about six weeks ago, and I just wanted to share that she’s doing amazing! She’s much more playful and curious now that she has her own space. I first met her on a Saturday, about an hour before closing, and knew she was the one. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the process, answering any questions I had. I’m glad they suggested filling out the adoption form online ahead of time because when I arrived right at opening the next day, I was able to meet with the advisor and Miso almost immediately. The whole experience was very smooth and there are so many adorable cats I wish I could take more home! 💜

So our bully out slipped from his collar letting him out to use the bathroom 🙄...I know I know, and we were devastated as he bolted off from our backyard,which is huge, but not fenced accordingly. He has been an inside potty since birth, but yeah, we couldn't keep up with him, so we alarmed Life 360 and Facebook, but he ended up going to jail and we bailed him out for $199.00, but the Nebraska Humane Society actually cut it down to $99.00 and we were so grateful. Thank goodness we had their chip in Zues, so we knew he was there with a phone call. We have learned our lesson and have made changes and are just so grateful that the Nebraska Humane Society did its job well and treated Zues with dignity and respect and helped us out. 💯🙋🏼‍♀️😍

got my sweet cat from here more than year ago and I can say that this cat makes me happy every day, planning to get him a friend tomorrow:)
