Nacogdoches Animal Shelter

We picked up out new puppy here. Lovely staff. Polite and knowledgeable. They set us up for success with our latest family member.

Absolutely terrible establishment. Went in with my dog to leave temporarily and told them that if no one adopted him that I'd pick him back up. They killed him within a week after forcing me to sign their papers because apparently they can't take him without those papers. Extreme lack of patience and care from staff as well, no remorse when I sat there crying on the floor for having to leave my healthy dog. If you dont want your pet killed dont take them to this "no kill" shelter.

Employees looked overwhelmed with the amount of animals coming in or checking out. But overall it was a positive experience in the end. I adopted the most precious kitten

I was able to donate gently used items to the animal Shelter on multiple occasions. I also bought my pets licenses. Wish 2 yr tags could be available or on line and mailed, getting out of the parking lot onto 59S is a bit tricky noon-ish

There's so many animals that need a loving home, I wish I could adopt them all.
