MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center

I would definitely recommend MSPCA Adoption Center in Boston for anyone in MA who is looking to adopt! Katie helped my mom and I find the perfect dog who completes our family; we had a wonderful experience. She was super thorough during the interview by asking my mom exactly what she is looking for and showing us potential matches. She kindly let us take our time with each potential match to make our decision. After we decided on our puppy, Katie took the time to explain to my mom lots of helpful information on how to care for a puppy (as it had been a while since she’s taken care of a puppy!). She gave us a packet with useful information and assisted us with the supplies we needed. We truly couldn’t have had a better experience! Thank you MSPCA and Katie ❤️

This is a photo of the dog I brought home after visiting several MSPCA adoption center locations, and each and every time being told it "wouldn't be a good fit". There are multiple dogs we've expressed interest in, that we have not been allowed to meet, and instead, have been left to languish in a shelter, instead of coming home to a warm and loving family. To put it simply; there are pets who want loving homes. There are people who want to give loving homes to pets. The ultimate obstacle to this, is the MSPCA. I haven't figured out the financial incentive for them retaining animals indefinitely in their care, but it should be looked into. It's sad. Just plain sad. as much as possible I base my reviews on the mobility-impaired person, and if there are special ways to access different places, and if there are stairs except for the MSPCA has been 5 minutes away from where I live, am I always thought that they would waive the fee if you are financially strapped and can prove it such as disability checks. (that is not the way it is and I won't be crass and get into the specifics) but I will say that the staff is competent, the facility is spotless, and they do have many programs I don't know about yet

I went to the adoption center looking for 2 hamster. I drive 1+ away we ended with a boy an a girl named Coyle and Gryz we changed their names to Mochi and Teddy. They were the sweetest hamsters. The staff attention were awesome I called the day before with questions and all of them were answer and when we went on person was even better. I am very happy that we get to adopt these 2 wonderful hamster from this place. Now they are very happy living in a adequate size cage with everything they need.

My recent experience with MSPCA Waltham was excellent in providing emergency care and unfortunately had to make the decision for end of life care… my situation was handled with compassion and care ,,. They were honest and upfront about cost and the best choice for me and Storm. I will most definitely plan to choose them as primary care providers in the future!
