If I could give Mountain West more stars, I would. we recently worked with Dr. Ryan who is an absolute genius at his work. He really took the time and energy to go the extra mile with the very big surgery my Mini Aussie underwent. His transparency, and follow up was reassuring and appreciated during the process. We have also worked with Dr. Bruce, and Dr. Simmon who were both absolutely amazing. I am very impressed by their attention to detail and deep care with their work, it shows in their practice and staff. I trust them with any situation and recommend them highly. The staff was kind—they even remembered my dog and greeted him as a friend, which I really love. Thank you, Mountain West!

Dr Ryan has done three surgeries on my husky - he's amazing. He spends a lot of time explaining the operation, the recovery and answering your questions. And, text you consistently to keep you updated. I'd strongly recommend visiting with Dr Ryan before you have anyone operate on your pup. The staff is truly first rate and care deeply. Trust me. I drive 50 min each way from park city due to the professionalism, expertise and trust!

My cat was diagnosed with a pleural effusion by my primary vet who referred me here. There was no wait and they took me right back and got started with vital signs. I didn’t even know the doctor was already examining him so soon and diligently used an ultrasound to look at the fluid and confirmed that he had a lymphoma in his chest. I had an amazing experience at Mountain West. I noticed my cat acting very lethargic (barely moving) and not eating the minute I woke up. I first called my vet but they couldn't fit me in and recommended Mountain West. I'm so glad they did! When I got there, there was no wait and I was immediately directed into a room and they took my kitty to the back. Then, an assistant came to me and discussed pricing and options. I was very overwhelmed (it was expensive and I was very worried about my kitty) and emotional, but she gave me time and even let me look over the pricing on my own before calling her back in with my decision. I was traveling with my dog when she got sick. I went to a ER vet in St George and they totally misdiagnosed her with gastritis. 2 days later and much money she was not better. I took her to Mountain West in Bluffdale. They are so professional. They have a total ER set up with surgical services, xray, echo and lab. I believe the vets are ER trained. This time they found she was filled with pleural fluid and probably in heart failure. The diagnosis was not good. They helped us make some tough choices. Being on the road traveling made it harder. The staff was so understanding when we decided not to keep her in pain longer. This was the absolute best place we could have found while on the road. The prices were reasonable.
