Morrow County Dog Shelter

These great people are exceptional. Their job is difficult but they make it easy on us the public. Go visit these pups and if you can volunteer to be a dog walker! Great way to spend some time with the pups and help out your local shelter. I recently got one of their pups for my own. My situation was out of the ordinary and it meant I needed a shelter to be willing to work with me and they did. Not only that but they went above and beyond to ensure the process was as smooth for me as possible. Five stars 💯

Great shelter that takes great care of their dogs. The staff and volunteers are passionate about their pups and make sure they go to good homes. I adopted my dog from this shelter after they nurtured her back to health, she is a wonderful dog and I am thankful that this shelter took such good care of her. Highly recommend adopting from this shelter.

The lady is super nice and helpful. You can tell she truly cares for the dogs. They need loving homes. We gave time to play with 2 handsome boys whom have spent way too much time there.

I’m a nonprofit that trains service dogs for wounded warriors with PTSD the Dog warden is a great place to adopt a dog they are very friendly folks and take their time to help you chose a dog I rather save a shelter dog than buy from breeders. The rescue dogs are all in need of a home and may times they are purebred registered dogs. I adopted a great dog. She is a German shepherd all black year and a half old. She’s become my personal service dog if you’re looking for a wonderful pet to bring into your home go see these folks. They’re great.

The team of volunteers are beyond loving, caring, and go above and beyond to save a dog. In my opinion, they are angels. I've been a recipient of everything I mentioned above. When my Shepherd got out of my yard in October 2022, the warden was always a call away if I needed anything. She even brought her live trap to a location in hopes of getting my furbaby. He was later found by me and brought home. Then, just recently, my rescued pitbull (puppy) got out of our yard, under the fence, went to a woman who brought him to our dog shelter, where they took him and immediately took a picture of him and posted it, that's how we got him back.
