Morristown Hamblen Humane Society-Animal Shelter

Staff is great. Animals are taken care of and very well loved. Very clean environment. Couldn't ask for a better place to adopt. They take time to listen and try hard to place you with the right animal.

Went and volunteered here for a couple of days and it was so nice! The workers there are so so good to the animals always talking to them and loving on them! So sad to see how many of these precious babies are abused by people who don't deserve to own an animal. If I had the room I would adopt every single one of these babies! I fell in love with all of them but 2 really caught my heart! Joey a German Shepard who was the sweetest ever and buzz I'm not sure what kind of dog he was but he is precious! If you ever have free time, call them and ask about coming in and volunteering for a couple of hours. I really didn't know what all went on inside of the shelter but I have a whole different outlook and respect for the ones who are there caring for these abused, sick, and stranded animals! You

Just adopted two beautiful kitties! Staff was helpful and friendly. They work hard on keeping the kennels clean and the animals healthy. Keep up the good work!

Been trying to get a dog named Dominic that’s a boxer and they’re discriminating me because I am living in an apartment and disabled saying I can’t handle an energetic dog in which I had a white German Shepherd in my life. The cruelty that they did is unforgivable and I will never get adopted animal here ever again or stepping into this place, misleading actions of me not being able to handle a dog they are a joke as an animal shelter that doesn’t know what a good home is clearly being in a kennel is a better home sadness in this world

Called about a dog that needed help and was hungry, stayed in the same spot for at least 4 days, and they wouldn't help it unless it was hurt. Poor thing was in the cold, hungry. We tried to catch it and help it but it would start to leave if we got too close. They're not about helping ALL animals, just the injured ones. They said they didn't have room but I see new posts multiple times a day with animals being brought in. This place is a joke
