My boyfriend and I brought our girls, Riley and Billy, to their first appointment today with Dr. Gowda and I’m so happy to establish care here. I’m so impressed by the professionalism and kindness everyone displayed, front to back. The receptionist was very sweet and kept open communication, even while waiting. Dr. Gowda was patient, understanding, and effectively addressed any concerns, AND she even got my nervous girl, Riley, to RUN up to her for attention!! The techs that worked with us were so kind and informative, I even heard them in the back being sweet to both of my girls! Overall, I’m confident they were handled with care ♥️

My cat thought he was at a spa. MVH has a cat-only exam room that is so quiet and calm, my cats relax and actually enjoy the visit. Both my senior cat and my feral cat fall asleep in the exam room. Calm, patient staff. Pheromone towels. It’s just a great location for cats (and dogs!). Highly recommend.

My first cat needed to be brought in for an allergic reaction this fall that presented as severe itching with scabbing and bleeding, which she ended up needing a steroid shot for. During that visit, Dr. Smith was fantastic at keeping her calm and evaluating the problem, giving me a list of potential causes for her reaction, things to look for after the steroid shot to indicate whether there may be a different underlying problem, and when to expect to see improvement. Dr. Smith far exceeded my expectations for care, so it was clear where I would take my male cat this winter when he showed issues with pain/constipation that got significantly worse overnight. They were able to fit me in same-day, which I greatly appreciated, but our experience fell below the standard of care and communicatio

Dr. Gowda, and Technicians Taylor & Jonnie: Thank you!!! You made our visit to your clinic a great experience despite the circumstances. I know my girl is a spicy one, but your approach was the best I’ve seen in years. Thank you again for your amazing care and I'm so happy that you were able to see my girl on such short notice.

This is a great, caring group of people. I'm so thankful to have had such a good, knowledgeable staff take care of our Beardie at the end of his time with us. When I'm ok again to rescue another Beardie or any other reptile, I will definitely make Moorpark Veterinary Hospital our vet. *Something to note - they didn't insist on any unnecessary tests. Only suggested tests and care that they realized was needed. It seems rare in a vet. I love them for this.
