Mobile Vet is the best vet I’ve ever been too. I’ve been to most vets in portage county and they are by far the best for cost and care. They do not do unnecessary testing just to get your money and they are amazing with emergency appointments. They also did a knee surgery on my late dog and they did an immaculate job! That same dog unfortunately was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2023 and Dr. Vruwink gave me the best advice and guidance during that time. Which lead me to make the selfless decision to end his suffering. He truly truly was suffering and I gave him the best 2 days of his life before we sent him over. I recently visited Mobile Veterinary Practice with my two-year-old dog, who was exhibiting symptoms of Lyme disease and had a noticeable mass on his ribcage. Despite my concerns, the staff merely administered a blood test for Lyme disease and prescribed medication without conducting further diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, to investigate the mass. The medication initially seemed to help, but ultimately, my dog's condition worsened, and I was told that the mass had grown significantly. When I requested surgery, the veterinarian, Dr. Dan, declined, citing my dog's poor health. Eventually, an x-ray revealed a large tumor in the chest cavity, which could have been detected earlier. My 10 yr old dog had a ruptured cyst and open wound. She needed to be seen. We were new patients but were treated with kindness and caring and were able to be seen the same day! Awesome people!

This clinic engages in a practice that is both uncommon and exploitative: they charge a $20 fee per prescription just to send them to an outside pharmacy like Chewy. For a household with two dogs, this means paying an extra $40 in administrative fees on top of the cost of the medication itself. It is a transparent attempt to discourage pet owners from finding better prices elsewhere and force them to buy directly from the clinic at a higher markup. ​Beyond the fees, they refuse to provide a standard year-long prescription for heartworm prevention, limiting it to only 6 months at a time. This policy forces clients to pay these 'processing fees' twice a year just to keep their pets protected. These policies are a significant burden for anyone on a fixed budget and prioritize clinic profits

Dr Dan is a saint amongst men. he holds more compassion for your pet then you could possibly imagine. we traveled from Oregon and had a Christmas pet emergency. Dr Dan was able to squeeze us in even though he was well overbooked from the holiday closure. he is way too affordable considering the superb quality of care that he offers for your pet. I can't recommend him enough
