Mobile Pet Care

I don't know where to begin. I made a phone call on a Sunday afternoon not having so much hope since I live outside Dr. Dave's operating area. I left a message and to my surprise Dr. Dave called me back and was very patient and interested in the story of my cat - 13 year old diabetic fur baby boy Charlie. That very same day, Dr. Dave came to my house ( outside of his normal operating region) and spent 3 hours examining, going over the records from the previous vet, evaluating, treating and coming up with the plan for Charlie's treatment. He explained in details the situation, prognosis, possibilities and what to expect from the treatment. He made me feel so comfortable and put me at ease with administrating the insulin that he had ready for me along with the needles, glucose test strips,

I never write or leave reviews but what happened last Monday left me no choice. We have a 175lb Newfoundland (Lou) that has refused to get in the car for the last two years. Last Sunday day before major snowstorm Lou did not seem normal and was not moving well. He barely made it back in our house early in the afternoon and laid in the same spot for the next 24 hours. At this point we were very concerned about Lou's health and started to look for mobile vet. We have done this the last two years for basic services but had no luck. Our son found Mobile Pet Care and thought we should call. We have never reached out to Dr. Rebhun and we were also outside of his service zone. I left a detailed voicemail and 2 hours later, the extraordinary happened, we received a call from Dr. Rebhun. W

Dr. Rehbum just showed up at my house tonight with my girls ashes. Saying goodbye to her was the hardest thing I had to do, she was my whole world for 14 years. Dr. Rehbum made her a priority on June 28th and came to my home that night without a second thought. He sat with us and made it as bearable as it could be given the situation. He is an amazing person and made the hardest day ok with his caring ways, I’m so very thankful for him.

May of 2024 I had to put my beloved heart and soul, my dog Sydney, to rest. It was Memorial Day and my boyfriend and I were not able to find anyone who could help her over the rainbow bridge. She was in so much pain from an arthritic attack, one that she could not bounce back from. We were avid members of VCA in Bristol CT which was closed for the holiday. Any other vet was also closed. We didn’t want to bring her some place that would stress her out, as she was already unable to move without crying in pain. My boyfriend had left a voicemail with Dr. Rebhun. He called us back, my boyfriend explained the situation, and said he normally does not squeeze people in, but given the severity of the situation he would be more than willing to help us. Unfortunately I had to put my loving, sweet girl to sleep. My beagle almost made it to 16 but came down with cancer and quickly declined after only a week. Trixie is sorely missed. The doctor came out to my apartment a few days after calling and was very caring, which made a difficult time a little more calming. My only complaint was the cost, but my fault for not asking what the charges would be before coming. $1,700 for the visit, including cremation and a wooden box with her ashes. I would recommend this caring doctor but ask about charges first so you aren't surprised by the cost.
