Misty Ridge Animal Resort & German Shepherds

Highly recommend Misty Ridge German Shepards if you're looking for good quality, smart GS pup. The staff was very friendly & responsive. Joyce has a world of knowledge about German Shepherds. She answered all our questions, provided all the data on the puppy's parents (who were on-site), kept in contact during the whole process & we are so in love with our lil guy, Pete Von Der Misty Ridge.

We love it here- we’ve been taking our rescue here for about a year (almost 3 visits she’s had here). The staff loves her, and she’s actually always excited to go in when we get there! Very nice space and you can tell they really care about your pets. Whenever she comes home she needs like a full day of rest (which is not typically of our highly energetic girl), so we can tell they really help her get good exercise while she’s there. Good price for the value. I like that we can bring our own food, or they supply food for free. They took these photos of her while she was there for her last visit!

We dropped our 5 year old dog who has never been boarded or been to a doggie daycare before off for one day to “test the waters”. We are new to the area and need some place safe to take our Trixie in case our usual pet sitter is unavailable. Misty Ridge took amazing care of our girl. They even sent me pictures of her nature hike during daycare. Trixie came out when we picked her up so happy she didn’t even run to us. It seemed she wasn’t ready to leave just yet! We highly recommend Misty Ridge. The facility and staff are top notch! We will definitely be using them in the future! Thanks for taking such good care of our girl Trixie!

Buyer beware!!. We purchased a puppy from Joyce in January. In 2 days we returned the puppy in great health because it did not work out with our male black lab mix at home. Before we purchased the puppy for 4500 dollars I personally spoke to Joyce about bringing our dog to Misty Ridge for a meet and greet. She denied that request with a ridiculous answer even though it is a very common practice. We have reached out to Joyce numerous times about a partial refund. She totally denied us even though the puppy we purchased has a new home. We are also repeat customers of hers. What a way to teat your customers!! Beware!

We received sweet photos and an email every day of our pup enjoying the countryside walks. She looked so happy in the green fields and got lots of affection during her stay. Came home in great shape!
