I spoke to a woman on the phone about bringing my dog in to do a meet and greet with one of the puppies that they have here and when I arrived After driving an hourI was informed that I would not be able to do that. I would have to fill out an online application and an in person application And it would take 2 to 3 weeks for me to get the puppy Even though from what they’re saying all shots and everything have already been done I’ve been to a lot of shelters, but I’ve never been to one like this. I’m not sure if this is normal but I don’t feel like it is.

They treated a woman like a criminal, posting her license plate and face online after trying to get help for a stray. They claim she left the pup after waiting for busy staff. She did the right thing altering her busy day helping save the dog running around the highway only to be publically shamed by this shelter for needing to leave. Why would anyone feel comfortable bringing a stray here if the results are your face and license plate being posted for our small community to bash and ridicule publically?!?!

Adopted a dog from them. They were thorough checking my references and even had us bring our dog in to meet-n-greet before taking our new baby home. All dogs there seem to be loved and well taken care of by staff.

The application was simple enough but on some parts, like which vet, it forces answers I was unable to give so I provided the vet I would be using. Same with references. I am a huge introvert, I have no contact with anybody except family, but no family references are allowed, so it felt like I was setup for failure right from the get go. Then they started calling and left rude voicemails about the information on my application. Not once was I ever informed the dog I applied for was gone before they ever even started calling. It was just a very disappointing and frankly painful process because it literally felt like I was being shamed for not having people outside of my family. It ruined the joy and excitement of finding a comfort companion to help with depression and anxiety. Not just this

Posting someone all over social media and treating them like a criminal for returning a stray dog is scummy. Stay away from this place
