Mineola Animal Shelter

I'm glad the police dept. answers calls when ACO's are out taking care of the animals! Otherwise, you would never get anyone on the phone! That's a good system for a small town pound with limited staff and funds. They have helped me out several times because people dump dogs and cats near my house. I just wish the county had animal control as well.

I picked up our new fur baby Julie from this great place. Our Buddy loves his new playmate.

We adopted a feral cat from them. She decided to be a house cat and is now living her best life with us.

Adopted our fur baby there. Was very well cared for and happy. They love their jobs and it reflects in the pets. Great place to go for a fur baby. No kill shelter. They have a garage sale coming up to help with shelter funding. Please try to help them out by attending.

Really nice and friendly man working the shelter. My only complaint is the number listed is the police department and they don’t seem to like it when you call asking questions because they’re the “police department”. There needs to be a separate line for the shelter.
