I’ve been bringing my cats here since I adopted my first cat, and every experience has been positive. The entire team is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring toward both the animals and their owners. You could tell they work really hard to ensure your pet is in good hands and are passionate about what they do. Dr. Hirsch is incredibly knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain everything thoroughly so you feel comfortable and informed. What I appreciate most is that he gives you different treatment options and walks you through them without ever making you feel rushed or pressured. It’s clear he truly cares about the well-being of every animal that comes through the door. I highly reccomend MPAH and their wonderful team to anyone looking for a vet!

Dr Hirsch and the entire staff at Miller Place Animal Hospital always go above and beyond for my dog. The staff is very friendly and does their best to always accommodate us when something comes up. Dr Hirsch is absolutely amazing with troubleshooting any issues we've had, and have been so compassionate every time. We're so lucky to have found them, and recommend them to everyone we know!

I want to make it known how amazing Jeffrey (Reception) and Dr. Hirsh are. Both individuals go above and beyond and are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I am normally an extremely concerned and reluctant individual with high anxiety and nerves but the doctor has made me feel reassured in my dogs care and has made a difficult time of uncertainty more comfortable and provided sighs of relief I may otherwise have not known. I recently was in a tough situation where my vet was unable to see my dog Riley for some unexpected bleeding. The last thing I wanted to do was go to an emergency room, so I tried calling Miller Place Animal Hospital to see if they could get me in - as a new patient, without an appointment. Dr. Hirsch and his staff were so accommodating, taking me in same day (on a Saturday no less), and helping to ensure that my dog was seen and cared for right away. It’s not often that I review a doctor’s office, but in this case, it was so well deserved, that I’d be doing them an injustice if I didn’t socialize it! If you are looking for a new vet for your pet, I highly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Hirsch and all the staff at Miller Place Animal Hospital…you won’t regret it!

I am so angry right now after getting off the phone with the office manager Jen. My Kalleigh was in for a yearly exam on 10/21/25. She had a Senior Profile bloodwork done. Carprofen was prescribed before the blood work came back. My total bill was $545 which included other stuff. The Carprofen was $33.30. I get a call 2 days later from them telling us that Kalleigh should not take Carprofen. My understanding is that based on the blood work Carprofen would not be good for Kalleigh. I was told that I could return the medication for a refund even though it is their policy that medications are non-refundable. They said that since I already gave my Kalleigh 2 pills, they would credit me for less the 2 pills. I argued that out of principal they should refund me the full amount since th
