Mid-Michigan K9 Academy - Troy

Mid-Michigan Academy Troy has been more than we have expected!! We brought our one year old pitbull terrier here for 2 weeks, and he is coming home with us as the dog we dreamed of training skills! We brought him for confidence training, social training, and basic training!! The entire staff and trainers were amazing, helpful, and very knowledgeable when telling them our wants and needs and what we wanted to change with our dog’s behavior and learning skills!! I definitely recommend this training academy for anyone looking for extra help to get their puppy/dogs the training that they need!! TLDR: This is the training your dog needs!! Mid-Michigan was the fourth dog trainer we worked with for our reactive, aggressive 4 pound pup Klaus. They were the first to really understand Klaus the way we do and love him as their own through training. He was becoming too much for us to manage and none of our previous trainers had been able to give us tools that actually worked. Two weeks of boarding and training with Jim, Casey, and team and we finally feel like we can give Klaus the life he deserves! He went from being too reactive to bring around my in-laws to laying on the floor calmly while they eat!! (See pics and videos for evidence of how far he’s come!!) Incredible redemption story! I highly recommend, if you want to hear more let's dive in: My rescue Doberman was highly reactive towards other dogs and struggled with severe separation anxiety. These traits nearly caused us to separate. So grateful for the trainers and 14 day bootcamp, Coco learned obedience and manners! I loved the updates via videos, sent twice each day. Upon pick up we did a training for me, how to hold the least, importance of treats, as well as commands she learned while at training 'place' 'break' 'site' 'down'. We now walk together, rather than me versus her. She does not bark or snarl at other dogs. Thank you Jim for leading such an awesome program, 11/10.

We have only had Macy home for a few days but the transformation is totally awesome from such high risk anxiety out of control at times to seeing her so calm and relaxed the afterward training sessions you give are absolutely so worth it to know how to deal with our pet and get such wonderful results from her we as so pleased and happy for her to be able to relax and enjoy life with her on this level of peace

Such an amazing process. The entire staff and ownership at MM K9 invests themselves in the outcome of their training. Our family was scammed by some franchise dog training systems before, but this place is honestly the best. Our 8 month old dog is completely transformed. Our family is very happy. We walked him around Frankenmuth and he was the best and most behaved dog in the entire city. This is a real review, no AI, paid requests or anything. 5 stars.
