Meade County Animal Control

My wife and I am currently fostering a dog from here. They were very helpful, and informative. You can definitely tell they love the animals. This is Hope and her new doggy bed beside our couch.

In just a couple weeks it will be a year since we adopted our precious boy Drake from the Meade Co animal shelter. My son had been volunteering regularly there. He thought so highly of the wonderful staff and was always sending me pictures of and telling me about all the precious dogs he walked. He loved them all, but Drake had a special place in his heart because he was super affectionate. I wasn’t really planning on adding another dog to the family but I had been seeing so many posts about overcrowded shelters everywhere. It absolutely broke my heart. Finally, I decided to go meet Drake. When he was brought out, he was so excited! He started to jump and then immediately just sat right in front of my feet, staring up at me with the sweetest brown eyes. He was bigger than I’d expected. I

We've had our adopted fur baby Aurora for almost three years now. We are so blessed that she chose us! What a wonderful place to get a forever fur baby.

We brought our pup Sweetheart home to foster and she never left. We had her for 8 years. I love that her name actually came from Alan and Jasper (shelter staff). Sweetheart passed on this week, guys. She had a good, loving, safe home for all of her days. I know you try hard to do the best for every animal that comes into your care. Thanks for our Sweetheart.

Took in a dog that someone dropped off in my neighborhood they were very nice professional The Establishment was clean and the animals were very well taken care of I appreciate them very much
