I went into adopt a cat today. I waited at the front desk for about eight minutes. For the employee to get off the phone. I told him I would like to see the cats.Because i'm looking to adopt. He said he was too busy to show me the cats and he would find somebody to walk me back. After standing in their lobby for fifteen minutes and nobody ever returning I just walked out. I guess they are too busy to adopt out the animal's that they are holding. I honestly thought they would be happy and eager to go to have one of their animals adopted and no longer being in the shelter but I was wrong.
Took the family for a drive to McLean County Animal Services to see if we could view any available dogs up for adoption and was immediately denied. An elderly lady stated, "All of the dogs have come down with an illness and we aren't letting anyone in there." Upon reading a few reviews on the website, it's pretty clear there's something terribly wrong going on at this location. This place may be good for dropping off a mother-in-law or other tyrannical family member, but don't take your animals there as they seemingly are better off dead.
Hard-working team dedicated to helping animals and reuniting lost pets with owners. They've assisted me with four feral/stray/lost cats by loaning me a trap and providing them a safe haven. Thank you MCAC!

It was very inexpensive (about $20), and she already had all of her shots, registration, spayed, chipped, etc. She is a sweetheart and we will definitely adopt future cats from animal control.
Update!!! Adopted the best dog in the whole world after being Dogless for 2 years. Dog dragged my goat off to kill it. Then continuously chased and slashed at my horses legs thru fence. Then dragged me down in yard by locking on my hamstring. Last straw. 25 year old young lady was petting him and he wanted in her lap. She let him. And then he tried to bite her in the face. Her whole face. Returned him and advised the grumpy chunky 50ish lady that he was not a candidate for rehoming. I bent to say goodbye to him and she dragged him with a rope thru the door. I said hey I wanted to say goodbye. She snarled I just did. Less than 4 days later, dog up for adoption again. Different name. Same dog. ( I kept this dog almost 4 months. Taught him all hand signals. And commands in a fore
