At Mattox Dog Training Academy your dog is family in their care. Not only do you get a highly trained dog, you know that your pet is being treated as if they never left home. Their facility is IMMACULATE!!! The are extremely knowledgeable and pass that onto you for continued trading at home. They work with local rescue, Mikey’s Chance, and my rescue dog was boarded and trained. I couldn’t be happier! They gave him a second chance at life and I’m FOREVER grateful to them! Total disappointment and anger!! My happy go lucky, healthy German Shepherd went there for obedience. On pickup day, I hardly recognized her. So skinny and lackluster in appearance. Chance showed me her heal, down, walking on raised objects, things I had taught her before I left her there, but when I felt her spine-it was so rivet like than was like dull skin over bone. Her neck had bumps, later found them to be bite scabs. Her feathered fur was gone, cut down all over short. I was in shock. This training cost me money I didn't have and in the 2 months they had her, I was not happy with any results. At Home she immediately ran to backyard and pooped runny--- and that still is going on 2 weeks later. Finally getting her to the vet she has severe Giardia. Dr put her on 2 meds, injectabl

The staff are amazing. We have taken 3 dogs to them for training. They are caring, experienced, and patient. Chance and Mary take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. My dogs are well cared for in their care and treated like family. I highly recommend them for all your training needs.

4ish years ago I started my relationship with MDTA. I sent my very anxious, destructive, overly medicated lab mix out to them as a last ditch effort to fix him before making the tough call. 4 months later I brought home a completely transformed dog. He was the same spunky, goofy, love bug but he was now mentally stable and HAPPY! We had 3 absolutely amazing years building our life and going on adventures. I lost him about a year ago I lost him and the outpouring of love and support from my MDTA family helped get me through the rough time. My 1 year old American Bulldog was out of control. She wasTearing up couches, dog beds, shoes and anything else she could find. She then became very food aggressive. In 2 months Mattox Dog Training Academy was able to correct the problems. She came home with manners and respect. I can't thank Mary and Chance enough for taking the time to figure my dog out.
