About a month after one of our other pups of 14yrs passed, and leaving our other dog quite lonely, we decided it was time to bring home a new friend. We adopted Zayla (now named Roxi) on October 16th. When we first met her she was on the more shy/timid side, but we thought she’d make a good addition anyway. After getting her home and few days later, she started coming out of her shell and her real personality started to shine. Zayla (now Roxi) is the sweetest, kindest, cuddle bug to the max, loves to play with people and other dogs, just overall delightful pup I could’ve ever asked for. Thank to the people at Maricopa East Shelter for introducing us to her, she’s truly the best!

RESCUE! SO many fantastic, adorable and lovable dogs are waiting for a forever home. Please consider visiting East or West Valley shelter location before buying or adopting elsewhere. Unfortunately, there are more dogs than homes available. MCACC cannot refuse surrenders whereas other rescues/organizations hit capacity limits. While living in a shelter long-term is quality of life concern for any dog, it is truly devastating to know dogs are put down simply because there is not enough space and/or behavior declines rapidly in a shelter setting. You’d be shocked how many breeds/age/size adoptable dogs waiting for YOU!

We went in and got my baby Snooki!! Process was smooth and easy the women at the front desk remembered me from months back! I appreciate that!! Thank u so much for helping me bring my baby girl home to her forever family!

Came by today! The workers were all super sweet and the facility is very clean. Will be coming back to check up on available dogs for adoption. They’re all such sweet babies and I know this facility is doing the best they can to care for them. Hoping to adopt one this week!

We adopted a female dog a few months ago from maricopa County Shelter main campus I17 and Durango curve. They sent her home sick and did not let us know. We took her to the vet and racked up a 1500.00 vet bill only to have to return her because we could not get a solid diagnosis on what the issue was. She taking antibiotics for 10 days. She was still severely sick. We called the shelter to let them know that our newly adopted dog was severely ill and ask if we could bring her back to have one of their vets Do a check over on her and more extensive tests. They stated that you signed the contract stating you take full responsibility. I understand I signed a contract, but you did not disclose the dog was sick. They were not apologetic or did not offer to get the dog well. No concern for the h
