My cat was diagnosed with cancer at our old vet, and when I feared the end was near I needed a place to bring her that was close to home. I brought her into Manorville Pet Vet for a check up, in the hopes that she was miraculously getting better. Unfortunately that was not the case, and a few days later I had to make the difficult decision to put her down. The fact that I felt more comfortable bringing her to a vet practice I had only brought her to once before, rather than our old vet whom she spent her entire 13 year life going to should speak volumes. The kindness, compassion, empathy, everything about Manorville Pet Vet from the doctors to the staff has given me piece of mind that I made the right decision bringing her there on her last day. Thank you all again!
Dr. Shivers is extremely careless. My dog needed a dental done and she didn't want to do any pre op testing such as bloodwork which i thought was odd . She also wanted to vaccinate my 13 yr old dog . Every vet knows that senior dogs should not get vaccinated since there immune systems are not as strong as it once was and after a certain age dogs should not be put under for dental. Too much of a risk.
Just be sure she does the appropriate pre op tests prior to putting your animal under anesthesia (bloods, etc). She never did this prior to putting my 9 pound incredibly sweet dog under 3 times, 2x for dental (likely unnecessarily but I was trusting at that time) and once to neuter. She died at 4 from Kidney failure. My whole family was so heartbroken. Ten years later, when I bring my 10 year old to Dr. Savino, he does a complete work up to make sure the dog is OK to handle anesthesia prior to any procedures (only twice, once to neuter and once for dental (just this year). I'm positive I could have had many more years with my Bizzy girl if she hadn't sucked as a vet. Hopefully, she has improved over the years.
Amazing, a very efficient and caring vet. The front staff and doctors are friendly and knowledgeable. My wobbly cat Saki needed her teeth removed, and I was really nervous since she is a runt as well (tiny and weak). Before the surgery they came out and explained the whole process and even showed me the paperwork detailing the pricing. The surgery went smoothly and she is doing well. Not only that, my other cat needed his teeth removed about 2 years ago and they completed that as well, he is doing great.
It was a great experience, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful. They took really good care of my Dog.
