Manners Matter K9 Training

I cannot say enough about Manners Matter K9, and the owner/operator Sarah. I am one of the coordinators for a dog rescue in the tri-state area and I have personally worked with Sarah for two foster dogs in my care, as well as requested her help with several other of our foster dogs in the county. Sarah was thorough with each evaluation, came up with a solid plan —including adjustments as needed while addressing my endless questions — and communicated very clearly what each step in the training process was for, breaking down exactly what to do, helping me to also understand the why of each step. Left a review 3 years ago (under same name) when we first started out with Sarah. I wanted to come back and revisit with an updated review. Since that review, we STILL do training regularly with Sarah. Some may worry, 3 years and your dog hasn’t progressed? Let me explain what we have accomplished with Sarah since the beginning so you understand why I find it so important to keep my pup working with her. I mentioned unwanted behaviors in my first review but was too embarrassed to state my pups unwanted behavior was aggression towards dogs. Since 3 years ago, he has now become so neutral towards dogs. Sarah was incredible to work with! She trained our almost one year old golden retriever and the difference in his behavior and responsiveness has been amazing. She was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly cares about the dogs she works with. She also took the time to show us how to reinforce everything at home, which made a big difference. We started training our German Shepherd, Ravioli, with Sarah at Manners Matter when he was about 6 months old and newly rescued with zero prior training. I’m not exaggerating when I say there were moments in those early days when I would lock myself in a room and cry, wondering, “What did I do getting this puppy?
