5 Stars! Shawn was worth every penny (and his prices were great!). I used Shawn for his board and train program for my dog, Moose, while we vacationed overseas. Moose is our 1 1/2 year old 150lb great dane mix. He was having a lot of trouble walking on a leash, meeting new people and dogs, jumping up, misbehaving in the house while we were out (ate through two couches and a chair), and just overall obedience. We love our Moose, but he was becoming a big challenge because of his size and energy. We have been working with Shawn for 6 weeks and I am amazed at how well he has turned our Molly around. She’s a rescue and trying to be alpha and showing aggression towards our older female dog. Shawn developed and implemented a training regimen that is effective, without the use of any harmful/painful training methods, and Molly is learning and excelling in her training! Shawn is extremely knowledgeable, always punctual, has great communication with us regarding our training. I did a lot of research and Shawn came highly recommended. He has wonderful reviews dating back many years and I have seen him with his dogs... they love him and are very well behaved, yet sociable. It’s clear he loves what he does. I was mentored by Shawn in dog training for close to a year. He is an excellent and patient teacher, not only did he help me better myself as a trainer, but he strengthened my relationship with my dog. Shawn takes the time to make sure the client is 100% satisfied and understands everything that he has taught. When you are done you will have a well behaved companion, plus more personal knowledge on dog behavior and training. When first got my dog, I was of the mindset that I knew enough about them and didn't need a trainer. A few days before I got her, I ultimately decided lessons couldn't hurt. Shawn Reed was highly recommended by a friend, so I made the call. Best thing I could have possibly done. In the two months he's been helping me work with my dog, she's completely different! I get comments in public on how well behaved and calm my dog is; and that's in less than two months! Shawn knows exactly what he is doing and breaks everything down so you can understand, which therefore helps the dog understand what you want from it. Shawn is energetic and top notch when it comes to being personable. Plus, he's a dog lover to boot. I'd recommend Shawn and Mannerly Canine to anyone, whether they're a first time dog

We adopted a Giant Schnauzer Ty, from a local rescue. We immediately hired Shawn from Mannerly Canine to help with obedience training. What a great decision. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with both Ty and us as he taught us how to train Ty in heeling, bed stays and off leash training. Anyone who meets our dog always comments on how well trained she is. We have Shawn to thank for that. I would highly recommend him.
