Madison Companion Animal Hospital

We are very grateful to Madison Companion Animal Hospital for the dental surgery they did on our little chihuahua. Not only she healed very well, but more importantly she is now happier than we have ever seen her since we adopted her 4 years ago. She is more active and playful, eats better and seems overall much healthier. Her treatment was relatively inexpensive and we were treated like family. So caring! Definitely recommend Madison Companion Animal Hospital!

I don’t ever recall leaving a 1 star review but l felt a responsibility to warn people by sharing my experiences here. Four years ago our dog got sick and was brought in by our friend who was taking care of him. Dr. Reinhold Pfaff told our friend that our dog had a rectal tumor and he should leave the dog to be put to sleep. Thank goodness our friend didn’t. I remembered our dog getting into chicken bones in the trash before we left. Our dog lived 2 more years. Yesterday l took our new dog to Dr. Pfaff to be neutered figuring anyone could make a mistake. I was surprised but happy when he said bring him in now and we’ll do it. I told him our dog had just eaten and he said “that won’t matter”. Being a retired anesthesiologist l questioned that so he said bring him in and we’ll talk about it.

Yesterday was a hard day as it was time to say goodbye to our little girl, Gumbo Louise. I was resolved to go in and ask for assistance but turned into a mess as I got to the counter. All I could manage was pointing to a candle they have on their reception desk for moments such as the one we were in need of. The vet intuited what I couldn't bring myself to say out loud, was kind, and accommodated my wish to hold her as she slipped away. His kindness and gentle approach made the goodbye a little less painful. With deep gratitude.

Very smart and compassionate Vets. We have had many dogs treated here over many years. Great place. Lots of ❤️❤️.

We have used this practice for decades and love them. They are vital to the community. We get very responsive care there.
