I've use Macomb Center Vet for my dogs lateral suture surgeries after my 8year old (Australian Cattle) dog tore his ACL. Both times, very pleased with the level of care! My dog really is my baby, he's a large part of our family and being older I was very nervous about him going under anesthesia. The vet told me not to sit at home stressing, if I'm worried just call and they would check on him and see how he's doing. When I called, they were wonderful. Put me on a brief hold to check on him and put my mind at ease. I love the care that each person here takes in my pets well being. Highly recommend!

You will never find a more compassionate vet team intent on making the human connection as well as a pet connection. They took care of my baby Jasper for 8 years of excellent care, many phone calls, last minute appointments, and other concerns as a first time dog owner. You are good people. What you do matters. I can’t say enough good things about MCVH! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me and our dog feel completely comfortable and cared for. Everyone was so friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about animals. The vet took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all my questions, and treated my pet with such kindness and compassion. The clinic itself is spotless, well-organized, and has a calm atmosphere—which really helped put my anxious pet at ease. You can tell they truly prioritize both the health and comfort of their patients. It’s such a relief to find a vet who genuinely cares and goes above and beyond. Do not recommend Dr Richmond. Right away she had an attitude about why I was there with my dog. I have been going to this office for many years with both my dogs, but I have not encountered Dr Richmond previously. She did not introduce herself when she came in. She seemed annoyed from the start. She had no compassion, and was unwilling to listen to my concerns about receiving a vaccine during this particular visit. She refused to examine my dog even though we were an established client for many years. I was so appalled as to how she turned my dog away and would not treat her. I would not recommend Dr Richmond and it’s unfortunate one person makes such a negative impact in an office. NEGATIVE A MILLION STARS! Careless, rude, and aggressive staff. Over the past year, my dog was given duplicate injections and diagnosed with a chicken allergy without any testing, then instructed to be seen monthly for allergy shots costing over $100 each. Later, when my dog had stomach issues, this same vet prescribed chicken-based food, despite previously claiming he was allergic. When I called about the mistake, the staff was dismissive and offered no apology. The worst part was watching a tech, who I assume was new, choke my dog with a slip lead while she was trying to give him an injection.
