If I could give a 10 star rating, I would! I was new to the kenneling/boarding world after my go to dog sitter could no longer take my girls. My one pup is a former street dog and it was obvious she had some kind of trauma that made her less trusting, my other pup is just very unsure around men. To say I was nervous is an understatement. When I first met Gavin and Michael, they had me bring the girls as they showed me their home and what the future plans were. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly extremely friendly and supportive with my girls. They had them for a few weeks while I was away this summer and again recently about a week as I was away for military training. When I drop my girls off, I do so without worrying about them. Luxury Acres is the only place I trust my puppy, Locust, to stay. Though other places have been fine in the past, Luxury Acres goes the extra mile to make sure Locust is safe and happy. They make sure to tend to every dogs needs and make them feel comfortable as if they were in their own home. Locust always comes home happy and doesn’t act up at home after his stay which has been a common issue in the past. My husband and I adopted a puppy at the end of April, following the loss of our beloved senior dog who would stay home with my dad while we were away on trips. We already had two trips booked in July and hoped my dad could care for our new pup Bodhi but we had forgotten how much work a puppy can be, and how much effort goes into their daily care. Luxury Acres Pet Resort ended up being the perfect solution for us. We scheduled a tour a month in advance to ensure we felt safe leaving our pup there. Luxury Acres Pet Resort is hands down the best place we’ve ever boarded our dog; truly in a league of its own. Our American Bully, Apollo, stayed here while we were out of town, and I honestly don’t think he missed us one bit (in the best way possible!). What makes Luxury Acres so special is that Apollo wasn’t just boarded, he got to stay with a personal, professional trainer, not in a kennel or standard facility. That kind of individual attention is rare, and it made all the difference. You can tell they really know and love dogs, especially power breeds like Apollo. I cannot recommend Luxury Acres Pet Resort & Mike enough!! We started working with Mike a few years ago when our daughter with special needs was in the process of getting a service dog trained. Mike was who we hired to do the training. He was able to get our dog to do things in mere minutes that we were not able to get her to do in days of trying! She was awful on walks (pulling, barking at people passing, etc.) - he was able to correct that behavior completely and she now walks wonderfully! She’s a completely different dog because of his training! We also utilize Mike when we need to board her.
