Ludworth Kennels

This place went above and beyond for our dog, Darwin. We were days from our summer vacation and had planned on having Darwin stay at Ludworth for 2 weeks. Right before, he caught a terrible ear infection and hurt his paw. Tom and his wonderful staff at Ludworth took such amazing care of Darwin, taking him back and forth to the vet several times, changing his bandages, and just giving him the care he needed while we were away. Couldnt recommend a place more highly for the care they provide. It's definitely no frills for humans, but a great place to safely leave your pet with the peace of mind they will have a very happy stay. Once again, thanks so much Tom for you're taking such great care of our pooch!

I cannot be more appreciative of my experience with Tom Braig and Ludworth Kennels. They were able care for our dog despite our dog suffering seizures and Tom and his staff paid extra attention and care getting our dog back on track and back to himself. We affectionately refer to Tom in our house as the dog whisperer based on the care he pays to our dog when we bring him to Ludworth Kennels. We recommend Ludworth Kennels to anyone who is looking for a Kennel.

Recently started boarding our dog here - one short stay and one long stay - and had a great experience. They seem to legitimately like the animals (i.e. not just a business). And the dogs seem to get a good bit of outdoor and social time, which is exactly what I wanted for our enthusiastic pooch. To me, the dog being wiped out and tired after staying with them, is definitely a feature, not a bug. Highly recommend it.

Ludworth is a family business. Both Tom and David take very good care of the dogs there. We always board our dog with them and she comes back happy. They take the dogs outside when weather permits. You need to call them to make the arrangements.

Please read the Yelp reviews! Our dog suffered severe injuries in Tom Braig's care and was left to suffer for days with massive, infected cuts. If we hadn't picked him up when we did, he likely would have died — nobody seemed to have noticed his festering wounds, blood-soaked fur, or the fact that he lost around 15lbs in just 2 weeks. Looking back at the negative reviews, it's clear that Braig does the bare minimum for the dogs and, if anything goes wrong, either doesn't notice or actively covers up his wrongdoing. When we tried to get him to answer questions about what happened, and requested that he cover our vet bills (along with refunding our stay), he became belligerent and raised his voice, telling us to take him to court.
