Lucky Dog Luxury Daycare & Boarding

We rescued our one-year-old Russell Terrier/Pitbull mix, Leo, from a kill shelter in Detroit last August and enrolled him at Lucky Dog in early fall. While we were familiar with the 3-3-3 rule through prior rescue experience, we were not informed upfront of Lucky Dog’s policy requiring dogs to be in their homes for three months before starting daycare. Leo was accepted anyway, and the policy was communicated later in a corrective rather than educational way. A proactive, compassionate conversation explaining why this mattered would have gone a long way. I always knew how grateful I was for lucky dog but yesterday was game changer! My dog Lucie is six years old and I’ve had her at lucky dog for day care, bording, bathing and grooming services for past six years. From day 1 Stacey has been amazing with answering questions for new dog mom or making references. My interactions with Sara have been same, there and ready and willing for everything. Yesterday , let’s just say some really important details were paid attention and reported back to me during anal gland check by dawn and then when above and beyond! Lucky dog is more than business, every single person up there that I’ve interacted with or Lucie has been rating of ten every time! Thank you to all of you! Lucie and I are so grateful!

We Love this place for our dogs. The area including the pet area is clean and well staffed. All of the staff are kind and the dogs love them. A friend told me about the facility and I’m so glad she did. We’ve been going 5 years and we have two dogs.

What a difference! It was so quick and easy (walk-in!), I was not even there 10 minutes for my older Corgi to get his nails efficiently and caringly done by a professional groomer! They did clip AND dremmel, per my request. I am so glad I found this place and will now go here instead of Petco/Petsmart for those quick nail trims. They offer alot more, too and their prices were so reasonable! Check them out!

I've been coming here with my dogs for 6 years and have always appreciated the staff's friendly faces and professionalism. Stacey has been very helpful when my dogs have issues as well Kai groomed one of my dogs recently and he looks fantastic. She was very nice and worked well with him despite his anxiety
