I’ve had my dogs and cats treated with three different vets and all have been fantastic! They guide you in the treatment that works best for the animal and you. The vet techs and front staff are also wonderful! I’m very glad to have my animals treated with Lucerne clinic!

Exceptional Care for our beloved fur babies at Lucerne Veterinary Hospital. While visiting Bar Harbor for the summer, our 16yoa baby girl, who had been diagnosed with bladder cancer in January, told us it was time for her to go. We called several Vet clinics all around and Lucerne Veterinary Hospital was the only one that would agree to see us. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was evident that this establishment is truly dedicated to providing loving care for animals. The staff at Lucerne Veterinary Hospital are not only skilled professionals but also compassionate individuals who genuinely care about the well-being of every animal that comes through their doors. Took my dog for an appointment for a percutaneous urine specimen. The vet came in and said they could not get a specimen because the dog did not have urine in her bladder. She told me she wanted me to come for another appointment. She left the room . The charge $86. I questioned that amount which I thought exorbitant for a five minute visit . I was told to the doctor examined the dog in the treatment room. I paid my money and left. The dog urinated for 30 seconds when we walked out the door. I questioned whether or not they had checked the correct dogs's bladder

When I mean to tell you that this place made the toughest time in our life- feel not so dim. Our sweet 7 year old dog was not doing good- after the emergency vet in brewer we couldn’t find a vet since we’re new to the area and they got us right in. We found out she had kidney failure and would need to be put to sleep within a few days. We took her home for goodbyes and brought her back this morning. The staff is amazing and so caring, the euthanasia process was so peaceful for her. Then they were able to take our 12 week old puppy the same day to make sure he was in good health and gave him his vaccines. I’m so thankful for all of you 🌈💜 thank you so much for being such kind and caring people in the hardest time of our life.

I can't recommend Lucerne Veterinary Hospital enough! We were visiting Bar Harbor in June with our 8 yo Great Dane, Sky. She became sick suddenly and had to have emergency surgery for bloat. Dr's Monk and Abrecht and the entire staff was wonderful! Sky just recently celebrated her 9th Birthday and it was all thanks to them!
