Friendly service, they let you see the dogs if you're interested. They have a dog out front every day to showcase. They offer different stuff such as doggy day out where you take a dog out for a day, fostering to adopt or to find them a home, surrenderings. It is clean and easy to navigate.

Many good dogs and cats. The shelter labels them with R,R for rough and rowdy and G,D for gentle and demure. I say it's for good doggy. Some even get gold stars if there really good with everyone. It takes a good person to care for these animals and hopefully they get adopted and have a chance to have a family one day. You can test the fit in your home with a 2 week 1 day or full adoption. Options are nice.

First time I've been to the LAS. I walk in and I'm hit with the stench. Which I understand it's an animal shelter of course. Warning though it smells bad. I'm not greeted or acknowledged. I walk to the front and I ask the lady how the adoption process works. She's cold and seems irritated. I'm just directed to the kitten room and the older cat room. The kittens were well taken care of. I go into the other cat room and it smells awful. I noticed all these cats littler boxes need to be cleaned. These poor babies look so stressed out. I ended up leaving and I came back the next day and the littler boxes weren't cleaned. All the employees at the front desk don't acknowledge anyone who comes in. Doesn't even turn around. I ask how I would go about picking up a cat and they just told me to go in

They reunited me with my baby!!! My 8-year-old Pomeranian ran off after she got startled by a loud noise in my neighbor’s yard. I noticed she was gone in under two minutes based on the footage from my security cameras, but when I went out front to look for her she was gone. Thank goodness she had a microchip and I had paid for AKC Reunite lifetime enrollment. I immediately reported her missing and a lost pet alert was sent out. About an hour later I got a call from AKC Reunite stating they had an off duty Lubbock Animal Services control officer, Shane, on the phone and he had my girl!!! I spoke with the officer and after his brother found my dog in his apartment complex, he drove 15 minutes from his house to scan her microchip and immediately contacted me. My family made two different visits looking for a puppy/dog to adopt & the staff were very helpful both times. On our 2nd visit we chose a four month old female mix. We r all so happy with our decision. Our children are MESMERIZED with her. 😊
