Louisiana SPCA - Plaquemines Parish Campus

Even though I did not adopt the pet I went to see, the facility was clean and the people were friendly. The animals that I saw were all in good health and ready to be adopted. Go check it and the pets for a new fur-ever friend.

Great place, we got our furbaby Cheyenne from them about a year and a half ago. Took great care of us and could tell she was loved while she was there.

I was a local resident of the Parish, worked volunteer hours at PAWS as a teen, and got my cat, Daisy, and my dog, Spider, from this shelter. They were super nice and helpful, and could tell I was serious about my adoption though I was a kid. My legal guardian, of course, still had to sign papers each time- as they should to ensure the pets’ safety, but the staff was super helpful and always nice, especially since the change in them. Not to mention the facility is great and spacious, and the cats get free space to roam within an indoor/outdoor (caged) facility/room and the dogs get plenty of time out of their kennels to run and play. They’re very swift with operations, as my dog, Spider, has just arrived when I fell for him, and so he was fixed and vaccinated and ready to go within the gra
