Best shelter anywhere! These guys truly bend over backwards to help strays. The place is super clean too. You can tell these folks, bust their buttons to keep this place in tip top shape. Some of these folks are actually volunteers too. Thank you for caring for these babies!

Every dog or cat I have adopted have been so wonderful. The spay neuter, shots, worming, microchip all done. So clean, large outdoor pens, volunteers come walk the dogs, the cattery is spotless. You can't go wrong adopting your next pet from Lockhart Shelter.

The folks there are doing their best. They have a plethora of dogs, cats, newly born and older!

Whomever answers the phone and works in the office is very very rude. I'm sure this lady's rude, disrespectful personality and way of talking to potential adopters, is effecting the amount of animals getting adopted, which is very sad, because it's not their fault that the owner of the place is a disrespectful human being. Very sad, but my husband and I will be adopting another furry baby from a different shelter somewhere else because we don't tolerate someone being so extremely rude to us without reason.

Amy and the shelter are awesome. She does very well with care amd love of all the animals that come to her shelter. She is a great judge of animal temperament.
