Lisa’s Country Kennels is clean, safe, friendly and welcoming! My dog has been going to see Lisa for 6 years. I trust no one else with watching my dog. Lisa and her staff love each and every dog that walks through the door. I can leave my dog there knowing he will be well cared for, happy and safe. The photos included are him playing at Lisa’s!

On July 18th, 2025, our dog Jax tragically passed away after a fatal dog attack while boarded at Lisa’s Country Kennels. Jax was 8 lbs of love, fluff, and a gentle, kind soul. Our hearts are broken and we will miss him forever. There have been differences between the veterinary report and the police report, which have only added to our heartbreak and confusion. This was a tragic accident but as a result our dog lost his life while boarded in a place where he should have been safe. We feel it’s important to share our experience so other pet owners are fully informed when making their boarding decisions.

Lisa and her team are incredible. Great spaces for the dogs, outstanding care in a wonderful environment, in a beautiful country setting with horses and other animals. For anyone looking at kennel options in the Brainerd Lakes area, I couldn't recommend it more.

My husky Kai loves it here! There very kind and are very reasonably priced. Definitely my favorite place, I have brought him here just so he can play with other dogs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We've been to several kennels for our dog Luna and Lisa's Country Kennels is the best. They post pictures of her playing with other dogs and it makes us feel good leaving her there.
