Not surprised this isn't the only complaint on the receptionists. The most accurate way to describe them was a cold lack of empathy. They were completely disconnected from concern for Lloyd We just moved to the area and another clinic claimed they dont have emergency for pets, no new clients or at least booked til November. Lloyd Christmas, after bringing him on his first car ride to ND only 5 days ago. A He wouldn't put pressure on it his paw, He would cry in pain when I would try to see if his nail was broken, it looked as if he gotten something stuck in it. We immediately began our search for a vet. By the end of the day his one paw is 4 times bigger! After calling every vet/clinic. Lewis and Clark staff are always so amazing to Luna and me when we come in. Always happy, kind, and patient when I get yappy. Dr. Kelly always delivers phenomenal service and it’s a very easy to see everyone in the clinic loves what they do and treats all clients and animals like family.

My family rescued a cat from a local rescue in July 2025. At the time, our kitty was about 2 months old. When we rescued her, we were given a $150 voucher to go toward her spay once she is old enough. We were given 3 options for veterinary clinics that would accept the voucher, and you had to be established with one of them before you could get your kitty spayed there. So why not just make one of them our permanent veterinarian? We chose Lewis & Clark Animal Hospital from the list of vets. We went there for 3 different appointments over the next 3 months to get established and make sure she was all up to date on her vaccinations. We never did feel super content with them as a vet. First visit to establish care for my 11-year-old Chihuahua. The visit was great!!! Bambi loved the vet tech and vet! Both took the time to sit on the floor and interact with my furbaby, which of course, Bambi loved. I'm glad to have found such a caring vet.

We drove from Minot to Bismarck with an appointment at 10am. We got in town and ended up having to navigate through construction to get there which was fine. We showed up 10 minute late hoping for understanding but unfortunately that was not the case. It’s extremely hard to get care for pets in this state and this place was actually recommended to us so we thought we would be in good hands. I’m sure the business itself is great but we’ll never get to experience that due to the person working the front desk as we will not be coming back.
