I called today to inquire about my application and they promised to call me back later that day. They called me and said I was approved! I went in planning to adopt a pair of black kittens. I like to let them choose me and when I sat with them they wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. No troubles, staff got me another pair from the same litter. A tuxedo and a creme and white. And they both were climbing on my shoes, playing with me, and letting me hold them. The staff were so helpful in matching me to my new babies. They even gave me some framed art made by the kittens. So far they are settling in well. Thank you so much!

This place is a jewel for our community. Pets are an important part of many people’s lives. Taking care of those that are waiting for their forever home requires a love and devotion beyond explanation. If I could rescue more dogs I would. We adopted our Brinkley from here back in 2019 and we couldn’t love him more. He’s a forever member of our family. Thank you LCHS for your hard work and dedication to pets in need.

Love, love LCHS! I adopted my beloved Lolly in Oct 2014, before they had a facility. She was being fostered, & if I’d spent a million dollars I couldn’t have gotten a nicer dog. My old dogs helped her with housebreaking & manners & she’s a joy almost 10 years later. Then just before Covid shut us down in 2020 I adopted Barney. He almost went home the 1st night because he was so scared & had many accidents. But I gave him some time & he’s a wonderful dog. That’s the thing—almost every dog that comes in to the facility is wonderful. They just need the right home to land in. And thank you LCHS for taking care of them till I could adopt them.

Very wonderful people who take care of the animals. I adopted Gatsby under three months ago as my first pet, and they helped me understand everything I needed to do and made the process very easy. The take home folder as well had more information, everything was overall great!
