Laura's Hope Rescue

My parents applied to adopt from Laura’s Hope Rescue and were ultimately denied because they have older dogs...despite those dogs being healthy, long-lived, and well cared for. It was disheartening to be told that having senior pets who have thrived in their home somehow made them less qualified. Longevity and responsible pet ownership should be seen as a positive indicator, not a red flag. We understand that rescues must have standards. However, when policies are shaped by past experiences, applying them without consideration of an individual household can exclude stable, experienced homes. This group of people are amazing. From the intake to the follow up. We adopted Tucker a year and a half ago from them. He is so sweet, funny and loving. I am very grateful for them.

We got our puppy, Kenobi, formerly Smokey, from Laura's Hope Rescue. He is the sweetest pup! The ladies at Laura's Hope were lovely people and you could tell how they truly cared about all the animals in their care. I highly recommend them if you're looking to adopt a dog!

Adopted Ember- from here. (Was Parrot). She is absolutely a puppy and drives me nuts one minute and has me on the floor laughing the next. Easy adoption and came home with toys and food for her, which was an unexpected surprise.

Laura's Hope is a wonderful 501 rescue. She does an awesome job of transforming the pups and getting them prepared for new homes. I've adopted from here twice. I highly support what they do.
