Laska Dog Training

Unwittingly adopted a fear aggressive puppy and would not have the happy pup I have today without Laska Training - for me and my pup. Johanna took the time to sit and explain dog behavior and what I can do to ease my puppy’s fear and aggression. Johanna taught my pup to refocus. Johanna uses kindness, play and reward. She was also willing to communicate with our vet to help my pup with a regiment of calming aides. Because of Johanna and Laska Training my 1 yo pup is part of large off leash pack who is able to enjoy play at the beach. Still learning how to greet other doggies but now that’s possible because of Johanna’s wonderful training. (My small pup in the water back middle.)

Fernie is slow to trust people but Johanna was able to meet Fernie’s pace and not push her. The positive reinforcement methods built Fernie’s confidence and strengthened our bond. Johanna has been such an asset to our family and to our puppy. Our puppy struggled with a variety of issues including pulling on walks, not listening, eating things she shouldn’t etc. From Johanna’s training, our dog learned how to do loose lease walking, is proficient in recall training and learned how to wear a muzzle to keep her safe. Johanna has given us great tools to keep working with our dog and our dog continues to get better each day. We are very appreciative to Johanna!

Johanna Hadam is a terrific dog trainer. She worked with our large lab mix, Barney, for several months, focusing on leash reactivity, pulling on walks, and jumping up, as well as teaching basic commands and a strong recall. Johanna is very professional and committed to positive dog training, and her experience is evident. The program she created for us (working one-on-one with our dog followed by coaching sessions with us) was carefully thought out, and she was always organized and punctual.
