Landrace Farm

I had a negative experience. I chose this rescue because I wanted to adopt a dog that experts had determined to be the right fit for my situation. I need a dog to live in a field with livestock far away from the house. I was assured that the dog who had been selected for me was perfect. As it turned out, this was not the case. The dog cannot be left alone in the field without crying and constantly howling all day and all night. It is obvious to me that he desperately wants to be with a family. As soon as I moved him up to the house he stopped all of his protests. Not every dog is a good fit for living without humans full-time in a field with livestock. Have received 4 dogs from landrace farms. They specialize in training and often rehabilitation of livestock guardians. The owner is very good about helping with adjusting the dogs to often different situations if necessary..
