Lamancha Animal Rescue

Today we visited La mancha animal rescue. And I can say from beginning to end our experience was a very good one. It was myself, my wife, our 4-year-old grandson and our 12 year old shih Tzu mix princess that visited. Right from the beginning the friendly staff greeted us. One nice volunteer even walked holding my grandson's hand talking to him so he didn't slip on the snow or ice. Jeff a very kind gentleman really worked with us in helping us find the right addition to our family. We fell in love with one of their dogs they had available for adoption named Chase. Chase is 1 year old. Chase also was missing some toes on his paws due to a birth defect. But I can honestly say that did not stop the wonderful spirit of this great dog. The people here are true humanitarian. They treat each animal as their own. They have just recently rescued 15 large dogs that were strays from South Louisiana. The empathy they showed each one was so inspiring. Please, if you are ready to adopt, seek out a rescued pup from LaMancha.

An absolutely wonderful rescue, I can not recommend them enough. Everyone was incredibly friendly and we were matched with Gemma almost instantly. We were told it may take her 3 weeks to get used to her new home, but I think she’s a bit ahead of schedule.

Such a kind & caring environment. I was impressed with the vetting process to be sure we were a good match for our sweet Sasha. She was definitely cherished by the staff & her sweet demeanor shows that. She's a bright light in our home & we look forward to spending time & sharing affection with her. She met her brother & little by little, I know they will form a close bond. My thanks to Laurie who handled the adoption process & gave such wonderful advice, sharing Sasha's back story so we could be understanding as she transitions into our home.
