Dr Grant is the most caring vet you could hope to find! I started going to her half-way through one dog’s life and then immediately brought my new puppy (who’s now 2.5) to her… so she has gotten me through all the life stages and I know both dogs were/are living their best lives because of her! And not only does she care about the animals, she cares about their people, too. She’s truly the best.

I cannot say enough good things about Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Grant. From the moment I arrived, I felt that my animals were in the most capable and compassionate hands. Unlike many clinics that shy away from treating poultry, Dr. Grant welcomed my chickens with the same level of care, respect, and thoroughness as one would expect for a dog or cat. Dr. Grant’s knowledge was immediately evident, she took the time to carefully examine my flock, explain what she was looking for, and walk me through the best course of action in a way that was both professional and easy to understand. I’ve tried to come here twice now. Both times with toddlers who had to see an adult have a tantrum over mask wearing! The vet is so rude and aggressive.My 5 yr old has NEVER worn a mask so give me a second to explain and put it on her. I would never approach someone’s child in an aggressive manner. So I say “I’m gonna step outside and get it on her” so you toss my dog outside and cancel the appointment! I’ve heard a lot of people tell me reasons why they stopped coming here but this doesn’t even have anything to do with the poor animal care you’ll get. I mean she’s set up outside of a food lion parking lot! It was my mistake to even come here the first time. Always lookin for a deal. You won’t get it here. People that are mad about their station in life always tend to punish others. I

Do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Grant. I made the switch several months ago and haven’t looked back. She cares, she is affordable, and she know really know what she’s doing. My cat was clearly suffering and I had a lot of unanswered questions at a previous office. After refusing to give my cat fluids, answer any of my questions and try to convince me surgery was the best option, I was desperate to find someone who could help. Dr. Grant has been a blessing. She was able to diagnose my cats kidney disease and equip me with the information and tools to elongate his life. Thank you Dr. Grant! I am forever grateful for your concern and care 💙
