Ladysmith Veterinary Hospital

I recently moved to the area from Las Vegas with my two little desert doggies. The Ladysmith Veterinary Hospital is very close so I made an appointment to get these boys established with a new vet. We saw Dr. Carmine. She was very knowledgeable and kind. You can tell when someone is a "dog person" and just understands them. Both of my dogs are special needs, my Maltipoo has a chronic illness since birth and just needs his maintenance to keep him stable. Dr. Carmine was familiar with his condition and made arrangements for his continued care. My Havapoo is a former street dog who refuses to eat dog food. Dr. Carmine offered suggestions to improve his home cooked food which I really appreciate because I struggle with the idea of him not getting the proper nutrition. Both had anal glands expr

I want to Thank Ladysmith Veterinary Hospital for all of their kindness!! My cat Kitkat had been suffering with vomiting and diarrhea. Dr. Carmine was so kind to see Kitkat as her schedule was already full! The staff is wonderful! They took such good care of Kitkat and made sure that I was completely aware of what procedures they were performing for Kitkats recovery! As Pippin growled at me as he always does when I looked at his front leg. The vet there easily put on the harness without any problem I was awestruck that he let her put it on. My pomsky is ridiculous to handle. He has a mind of his own. He will get his way no matter what I do to stop him. And when she gave him a shot he didn't flinch at all.

Everyone seemed to be sincerely interested in Jingles well being. They always informed us of what was happening before hand, in terms that we could understand. Everyone, especially Dr. Carmine was very gentle, and loving. Happy to report that Jingles is showing improvement already. The reason I stated overpriced is the visit was vercexspensive. I realize that a lot goes into care of our animals but it is hard to keep up proper care of them when it cost you 100's of dollars to do that each time. If you have multiple animals you drag your feet because of the exspence. It shouldn't have to be that way. It is not just here, it is everywhere.

I've just recently moved to this area from WV and needed a Vet because my dog, Riley, is having some.issues adjusting to the country life. Dr. Carmine was very nice and gentle with my Irish Wolfhound Poodle Mix, who was scared in this new environment. The staff was very friendly and informative. They took.care.of.all.if his, and my, needs.
