Kiokee Creek Kennels

We have been working with Cody for a couple months now on obedience training for our golden retriever, Macaroni. It’s been so much fun watching him progress each week, our pup looks forward to Cody’s visits each week! We just dropped him off for boarding while we went on vacation, it was clear they took great care of him for us!! We are so excited to continue watching our absolutely insane field golden mature through the process

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kiokee Creek Kennels, Cody, and Dakota. When we sent our English Setter, Dug, to them for board and train, he was a 10-month-old insecure piranha puppy with very little manners — and we were completely overwhelmed. English Setters can be tricky dogs, and we knew harsh training wasn’t an option. We specifically chose Kiokee Creek Kennels because of their experience with hunting and bird dogs, but even with that confidence, we were incredibly nervous about sending Dug away. We truly didn’t know if he was ever going to become the family dog we hoped for. Before Dug even went into the program, we had a few in-person sessions with Cody, and we already noticed a difference. He was patient, kind, and incredibly clear with his explanations

First time dog owner going through the process of obedience and gundog training. Cody and his team not only ensured the dog was trained, but that I was comfortable handling the dog as well. Cody answered countless questions throughout the process and remained in contact after the training was completed. Highly recommend!

We sent our 6 month old Golden Retriever Duke to Cody for the obedience program. We have had Goldens since 1999 and competed in AKC FT/ HT in the past so we were familiar with training for competition. We have not competed for over 15 years but knew we wanted a dog with strong obedience fundamentals. Cody and his team didn't disappoint. Duke is your typical field Golden, high drive with a mind of his own.. Cody's training methods use a lot of positive reinforcement which is a little different than we had previously experienced. While it took a couple weeks longer than expected, we picked up Duke a few days ago and thus far, we are extremely pleased with the results. We look forward to getting him involved in dock diving this spring.

Cody and his team are excellent. He trained both of our GSPs and they are now the dogs we always wanted. They are so happy and so well behaved. Cody was great with his instructions for me and the pups! Cody was always available for questions and has continued to guide my wife and I on the next steps for the girls even after they have come home.
